Marta’s DEADWOOD doghouse
My love for dogs started as a little girl through the eyes of my dad. He had a love for German Shepards. My love for dogs and animals grew as I grew. I have had several dogs in my life and always knew that one day I wanted to live where I could follow my dream.
After I had my own kids, I could see their love for dogs develop. This is when I developed the strong desire to open up a daycare/kenneling business. I hated the thought of leaving my own dogs (a spoiled Maltese/Papiliion, named Chloe and a Springer Spaniel named Trigger) kenneled all day long in the cold or heat. I also hated the guilt I felt when I was too tired at night and not getting them the exercise they need daily. I remember promising Trigger every day when I would leave him that I will find a better place for him to run and play.
I’m grateful to say that I found a place not only to live but to care for all our doghouse friends in the Deadwood and surrounding area.
This is a family business and we strive to love and care for every dog that will walk into our facility.

We are dedicated to offering the highest standard of care, ensuring that each furry guest receives personalized attention, exercise, and socialization tailored to their unique needs and preferences.

About the Facility
We have renovated a 4,050 square foot space to be our home and our business. We have 17 kennels, 8’x5′ kennels (limited and book fast) to fit multiple dogs from the same home and 4’x6′ to fit one or two dogs from the same family.
We have a temperature-controlled, 16’x24′ indoor exercise room where we will have different activities throughout the day for the dogs to play, such as tennis ball day. This area can be separated by individual time or for multiple dogs that have gone through our behavioral test first. We do not stick dogs into play with each other without checking their social skills beforehand. Your pet’s social skill test will require a quick Q&A where we will look at your pet’s play style, activity level and interactions with other pet guests. After the evaluation, we will make recommendations for the best play accommodations for your pet.
